Only 2 more weeks til the halfway point!! I had a dr appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat which was measuring right around 150. He also measured my "fundal height" (length from top of uterus to top of pubic bone) which is supposed to equal how many weeks you are. Well, mine was 18cm! I would say pretty much growing right on track!
We also got to schedule our 20 week ultrasound--April 9th at 11:00!!!! I hope these next 2 weeks go by fast, can't wait to see how much has changed in the 9 weeks since we last saw baby! We are NOT going to find out the gender, either. That took quite a bit of convincing on my part because Tim really wanted to know, but he knew it was a losing battle :)
I have two sweet little baby outfits hanging in our bedroom currently--they are making me so excited! Tim got a closet built in the nursery last week and this week we are going to get trim, closet door, paint, etc, so we can continue on with our project. Can't wait for it to be done so I can start filling it up!!
I have been feeling baby move more and more this week. It's so crazy--such a cool feeling. Still hard to believe it's going to be a cute little baby in 22 weeks! :)

17 Weeks!!
AHHH!!! As I'm sitting down to type this, I'm PRETTY SURE I just felt the baby move!!!!! Seriously, weirdest feeling ever....I've thought maybe I had felt it in the last week, but nothing had ever been strong enough for me to know "for sure." All I know is that it had been feelings that I had never felt before. NOW, I'm pretty sure it was baby! Falling in love more and more by the minute! :)
Yay for 17 weeks! I'm feeling awesome, definitely can't complain. I've been busy the last few days working on 6 sheet cakes and a wedding cake for this weekend, so haven't had much time to relax or work out....as of next week though, life should slow down and it's time to get into a routine! Gotta get my arms ready for tank top season!
Baby is about 5 inches long this week--crazy!! Last night we were trying to decide how something 5 inches long is fitting in my belly. I have noticed that my belly is starting to get in the way of things already...especially when powdered sugar comes flying at me when I'm making frosting--seems like that's what catches it! haha.
We are getting ready to start the NURSERY! We have a ceiling fan hung so far--yay! We had to move our laundry downstairs, so that has also happened. Now it's just time to take out everything that was in the laundry room and start building a closet. I'm so thankful for a handy husband!
I haven't taken my "chalkboard" picture for week 17 yet, but did take this picture this morning....it probably doesn't look like that much change to anyone else, but to me, I feel like my belly grows every day!

16 Weeks!!
We're officially 4 months into this! :) It's hard to believe how fast this pregnancy is going. Didn't seem like it could go fast enough in the first trimester when I just wanted to feel better!
I've started noticing more of a round-ness to my belly and it's starting to get hard! I thought it was getting hard a month ago, but this is definitely baby making it hard this time, not bloating! So far all of the weight that I've gained has gone to the front of my belly, helping out the roundness factor--I don't need it to go anywhere else!
Baby is the size of an avocado and is starting to be able to hear my voice! Time to start singing to him/her! :) I keep wanting to call the baby "it" because we don't know what it is....sorry baby! I'll try to get better at that!
As far as me, I've been experiencing the lovely pregnancy side effect of nosebleeds. I've had 3 of them in the last few days, some bad, some not so bad. I finally bought a little personal humidifier for my cube at work and we have our humidifier at home on full blast. Hopefully this isn't something that's going to stick around the rest of the 5 months!
I've started feeling what I think might be baby, but it's so hard to tell because whatever it is doesn't happen too regularly yet, and the movements aren't too strong. Just strong enough to make me stop and think that it's baby! Can't wait until I can absolutely tell FOR SURE! :)
It's our 3 year anniversary today! Yay! :) I can't say enough how perfect the last 3 years have been and how much we've learned about each other. I'm so excited for what this next year will bring, and every year after that!
One more exciting piece of information: we're starting our nursery project tonight!!!! Ok, it's just some electrical work for now, but hey, gotta start somewhere!!
Jersey wanted to say hi, too, so she doesn't feel left out!

Daycare!
For the Crookston area, there is a list front and back of daycare providers. Since I was told we better get started calling, I started last week. I had a bunch of moms give me their suggestions on who is good, who to definitely avoid, etc. Well, I started calling.....and calling......and calling. Nobody had an opening for November!! I had left a few messages and was waiting to hear back, but was definitely down about it. Like, seriously, ready to cry!! What were we going to do if we couldn't find daycare! We have lots of plans in the next couple years that wouldn't happen if I had to stay home.
THEN, I got a phone call from one of the daycares that was on the top of my list! She DID have an opening in November! Yay!!!! She was actually the only person out of this whole list who ended up having an opening. We went and met her last night, and it went great! I think she'll be awesome, and she has 2 adorable little girls who love to "help" with all the kids! They even have a little puppy that looks just like Jers! Should be an easy trasition for our baby :) It is such a HUGE relief to have this taken care of, and know that she's somebody we can trust to do a good job with our baby! Relief!!
Now after the massive nosebleed that almost sent me to the ER this morning, I think I'm ready for the weekend....

15 Weeks!!
Time just seems to be FLYING by!
I have been living out of yoga pants for a few weeks now, but this week I finally gave in to maternity jeans!! I had been wearing my normal jeans with a belly band, but decided it was time to make the switch. They're so weird to get used to wearing! I bought a couple different styles to see what I like. I'm sure what I like now will change when my belly gets bigger.
Baby is the size of an apple this week!! 4-4 1/2 inches long already! I should start to feel it moving in the next couple weeks. I have had moments that make me stop and think that I just felt it, but they have been pretty few and far between! At my last ultrasound I was told I have an anterior placenta. That just means that most of the placenta is in front of the baby, so it will shield the kicks more, and I might not feel it as soon as others will. Sad, but I'm sure I'll enjoy the shielding of the kicks more the farther along we get!!
I can't say I've had any super weird cravings this week, either! Sorry I don't have too much to report! :) We're starting to make nursery plans that will begin in the next few weeks!! I'm thinking gray walls, white trim, and accenting with brighter colors...don't quote me on it, because that's just one of the many ideas running through my mind!!
People at work are starting to comment on my "belly"! It's so weird having people stare at your stomach when you walk by them...I suppose it will only get worse! At least this must mean that I'm starting to look less like I've just gained weight and more that it's taking the shape of a baby bump! I'll leave you with a picture I took yesterday morning. I've been taking nice weekly pictures by a chalkboard, but haven't taken my 15 week one yet, so this will have to work for now!
This is right away in the morning, and even trying to suck in, and this is all the further we could get! :)
